Analysis

Amazon.de order volume shows clear seasonal peaks in Q4, with November commanding a 28-point index premium over the annual baseline (Index 128). December follows at Index 115 (+15% vs. annual average). The first quarter and especially September mark the year's softest periods, suggesting that holiday shopping and year-end gifting drive disproportionate platform activity.

Methodology

Index calculated as 100 × (total monthly orders / average monthly orders across 2025) for the panel of users with full-year coverage (n=1,141). No AGOF weighting is applied, since the index measures relative seasonal shape within the same panel — panel composition cancels out. Data is final as of April 2026, covering the complete 2025 calendar year.
