The “Start-up Transfer.NRW” Program: A Catalyst for Innovation

“Start-up Transfer.NRW” has chosen Datapods as one of eleven recipients this year. Managed by the government of North Rhine-Westphalia and co-financed by the European Union, this program aims to transform academic research into market-ready innovations, promoting ideas with significant market potential. Our acceptance into the funding program validates our vision of a user-centered data economy and positions us at the forefront of digital transformation.

Plans for Using the Funding

We will use the €270k to accelerate our development roadmap. Our focus will be on advancing our technology and transitioning our entire founding team to full-time work. This financing is a major step toward empowering individuals to gain greater control over their personal data and to exercise their data rights in an informed manner.

Collaboration with Prof. Dr. Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider

We are delighted to be working with Prof. Dr. Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider as a mentor within the Start-up Transfer.NRW program. She is one of Germany’s most renowned experts in data law. Her research in data trusteeship and her extensive network will be crucial to ensuring our solutions are both innovative and legally compliant.
